When starting off, make a solid decision on what you want your website to be based on. This provides a firm base and guideline for future blogging.

This is very important as it is what will determine several other decisions that you'll be required to make. This is what you need to know about your audience:

• Their demographic location-This will help greatly in providing relevant information 
• Their average age-This might seem unimportant but the truth is, in the publishing of your articles,you need to know what boundaries to or not to cross in order to make your content interesting to your audience.
• Audience interests-Make sure that your posts entice your readers' attention by writing on relevant and captivating topics.

3. MARKET YOURSELF 

As any other type of business,marketing plays a great role in the success of the business. Use social media, your friends and traffic campaigns to market your website to the world.

4. BE CONSISTENT 

After getting a substantial level of traffic,you need to ensure that you keep them hooked and looking forward to your posts. This is easily achieved by being consistent in the frequency of publishing articles.

5. MONETISE YOUR WEBSITE

In life, there will always be those conditions that will try to bring you down. There will always be challenges. You will thus need to keep your eyes set ahead to your goals.

A good way to stay focused is to write down your blogging goals to motivate you when the going gets tough.
